Joi Plummer was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Northern Virginia. Upon obtaining her Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia State University, she went on to work in various law firms throughout D.C. and Virginia. Joi was also a Federal Contractor at the ATF Headquarters were she served as Quality Control and Office Manager before becoming a full-time Stay At Home Mother. Since returning back to the work force, Joi has lived in Dominican Republic and Guyana, where she was the Office Management Specialist to the U.S. Ambassador and Deputy Chief of Mission. She is married to RSO Theo Plummer, Senior Law Enforcement Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador. Together they have three children; Madison, Eden Monroe and Theodore “Buddy” III. They are due to set sail to Kinshasa next year but are excited for their time home! Joi enjoys time with her family and friends, event planning, traveling the world, and all things Performing Arts (writing, producing, directing, and acting in live-stage plays)! She is happy to be joining the KWES Sea Lion community!
Maya Claros was born in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and raised across the US and overseas in a military family. She graduated high school in Northern Virginia and attended George Mason University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor Spanish. She went on to obtain her Master of Science degree in Biotechnology: Biodefense/ Biosecurity from University of Maryland Global Campus.
Maya worked as an Organ donation coordinator facilitating the gift of life through organ,eye, and tissue donation.
Maya married Cesar Claros, an IT professional and started a family. She is currently a domestic engineer, small business owner , and Girl Scout troop leader. Maya and Cesar have three children; Cataleya 8, Ché 5, and Caín who is 2. They also have an 11 year old Pitbull, Onyx; a horned frog, Munch; and 4 hermit crabs. Maya enjoys running, Snickers, creating literacy resources for her shop, The Dope Kid, yoga, drawing, science experiments, and having Healthy Hip Hop dance parties with her kiddos. This is the Claros family fourth year at Kyle Wilson and Maya’s first year on the PTO Board.
Sabrina Romero, Peruvian descendent, was born in Fairfax, VA, and raised in Northern Virginia. Upon obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Major in Accounting, Minor in CIT) from University of Miami, Sabrina moved to Honolulu, Hawaii prior to coming back to Virginia. Sabrina obtained her CPA in 2009. Sabrina is a Managing Director in a non-profit delivering outsourcing accounting and small business owner. Sabrina taught accounting at Northern Virginia Community College for several years.
Sabrina is married to Giancarlos Guerra, Cybersecurity Analyst and Nicaraguan descendent. Together they have six children; Liliana 16, Leilani 15, Lucas 9, Leena 8, Lourdes 6, Giancarlos Jr. 4, and Oreo, their pet rabbit. Sabrina enjoys time with her family and friends, jogging, volunteering, traveling, and all types of arts & crafts! This season Sabrina is coaching Tball and assisting in coaching Soccer. She is excited to be a part of the KWES Sea Lion community!
Jennifer Clinton was raised in Roanoke, VA and has traveled the continental United States due to her husband's career as an Air Force officer. She and her family were last stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM and are now looking forward to making Woodbridge, VA home for the foreseeable future. Jennifer is a Master's degree prepared Registered Nurse with a specialty in wound, ostomy & continence nursing. She has also recently worked as a COVID vaccinator and is a volunteer for the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps. She has been married for nearly 18 years to her husband Eric Clinton who now does nuclear research for the government. Jennifer and Eric have two children: Nathan who is in 6th grade at Saunders Middle School and Anya who is here at Kyle Wilson. Jennifer has enjoyed taking some time off from work to help settle her family into their new home here in Woodbridge and is super excited to be part of the PTO!
Tracy Woodhead lives in her hometown of Woodbridge, VA and is a graduate of PWCS schools. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from VA Tech (Go Hokies!) and began her 20+ year in the hospitality industry. She has worked for Hyatt and Marriott hotel chains as a Sales Manager and a Director of Sales. While her family was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, she obtained her Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University. She worked as a Meeting Planner for associations planning conferences for up to 18,000 attendees. In the past 18 months, she planned both virtual and hybrid events, earning a Digital Event Strategist certification. Tracy recently paused her career to focus on her family, including her two boys, 4th and 2nd graders at KWES. Tracy enjoys reading, crafting, baking, building Lego, and Nerf battles with her family.
